I loved this movie. Of course granted, I love just about every movie that has managed to secure the name "George Clooney" on the credits somewhere. I found that in defending the movie to my parents (who saw it and complained for YEARS - or at least what felt like years - that it was a chick flick just because George Clooney was not the Danny Ocean character and expressed certain sentiments) I liked it all the more.

Secondary oh-man-my-parents note: My mom complained that my dad had taken her to see a chick flick and that her life was awful because of it.....she had actually wanted to see "It's Complicated" and I quote, "not some chick flick" (IRONYIRONYIRONY..)

Good points, Bill. And read the script. It's a bit different from the produced version.

WARNING: Some of my response may contain minor SPOILERS.

Yes, I certainly considered the message positive. But at the same time, I don’t know if I left particularly happy about it. The reason being that as a single guy, I resonated very much with Clooney during the first half the film. Being independent, on the road, living the dream so to speak. So when the message came back at the end that love/family are more critical than anything else, it depressed me in the sense that I’m not in a relationship right now and I’m (somewhat) far away from my family. It was a powerful reminder. Positive because it reminded me of what’s important, but sad because it forced me to reflect.

But that’s it right there, I mean, how many movies can I say have that kind of impact?

I thought it was pretty wonderful, too. Many of the developments in the story surprised me and the characterizations were ridiculously well crafted. I started to the read the screenplay (which you can find here, if you're interested: http://www.simplyscripts.com/2009/12/24/up-in-the-air/) and was simply blown away. It's beautifully written.

I took away a very positive 'message' and considered it a 'happy' ending. Do you agree?

Sherlock Holmes was fantastic. I saw it this afternoon...and actually considered seeing it again this evening (but decided that would be insane.) Downey Jr, Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams were all top-notch. True, I haven't seen Avatar, but truth is....I didn't have any interest in seeing it. However, the second I heard about Sherlock Holmes I thought... need to see this. And of course, was not disappointed. Completely lived up to the hype (even when the hype was in my own head)

Never did an online survey but have had plenty of opportunity to.
I've never had a dining or shopping experience that was so superb or so bad to make the effort to comment on their site...it's all been just average for me. If in the future I have an unforgettable experience either yay or nay, I think I would take the survey.
As far as your information being "out there", it is already.
Every time you swipe a debit or credit card your information is
out there and there is nothing you can do about it...so go for the money and forget the consequences!

When I hate a place I tend to stop
going to it, but for some reason you keep going back and then Bitch about it afterwards. As for my experiences with game stop it has been nothing but positive. So maybe your weird feelings about paying 5$ extra for plastic needs to be solved others ways. I tend to buy used now mainly because games are over priced and when you return the game you get the same amount back anyways. But my ultimate suggestion for you is to get gamefly, 8.99$ a month and you can play as many games as you want and never have to go to game stop.

i mean, i dont hate the people who work at gamestop but i hate the policies that are manifest through the employees. Im sure Regan from the exorcist is a perfectly fine human being but while possessed by demonic spawn she comes off as a bit of a cunt.

and your statement, "keep in mind that if you’re buying a new game with no shrink wrap, myself or another employee has already played it." just gives some credibility to my inconsistent and hypocritical views
